Made in Canada: What it means to us

At The Unscented Company, local manufacturing has been part of our DNA since the very beginning. But what does the Made in Canada really stand for?

What does the Made in Quebec certification mean?

For a product to be certified Made in Quebec, its final substantial transformation must have taken place within the country. This guarantees that a meaningful portion of its production happens locally, helping to sustain Canada’s economy and craftsmanship.

80% of our products are made in Canada.

Our commitment to local manufacturing

From branding and printing to production and transportation, we prioritize working with local partners at every stage. Our goal is simple: to support the local economy while minimizing our environmental footprint.

Local first, quality always

While we prioritize Canada-based production, we’re also committed to providing high quality, effective products. Sometimes, this means partnering with manufacturers abroad to leverage their expertise, advanced technology, or specific ingredients.

Here's what that means in practice:
  • Our manufacturers source ingredients globally.
  • Our tabs (laundry, dishwasher, toilet bowl cleaner, and floor cleaner) are made in Europe.
  • Our bar soap and lotion bar are produced in the U.S.

It’s not always perfect, but our mission remains the same: providing fragrance free, naturally derived products that truly meet your needs.
